Luggage transfers

How does it work?

The luggage transfer is a complex logistics process where many pieces of luggage need to be collected in many accommodations and brought to various places afterwards. To ensure good delivery for all travellers, we ask travellers to have their luggage at 8h00 for the collection. Our transporter will pick-it up during the morning; depending on his schedule it could be 8am sharp or 11am. Luggage transfer logistics change all the time and we cannot plan collection and drop-off time with great precision. If the first pickup was delayed 30 minutes, the rest of the deliveries would be delayed by the same period. We recommend packing a spare set of clothing, including a t-shirt and underwear, in your daypack. In the event that your main luggage is delayed, having these essentials with you will allow you to freshen up and change into clean clothes until your belongings arrive. Your luggage may be picked up later of course but we ask you to have them ready by 8h00 in case you are the first collection point that day. Check our article for more information.

Make sure that you use our luggage tag. It is important to write your trip reference and your full name so our luggage handler can identify your luggage straight away. You can also add a mobile phone number to the luggage tags if you wish. Please note that the hotels are not committed to bring your luggage to your room so it will be up to you to carry it to your bedroom. In some cases, accommodation may not have a lift and you may have to carry the luggage up the stairs. It is usually delivered to your next hotel by 6pm max.

Note that if you are not going by foot or cycling to your following destination you MUST take your luggage with you.

Luggage size/weight

  • Spain, Portugal, and Italy: 18-20 kg per bag
  • France: 10-13 kg per bag*

We recommend packing only 18 kg (for Spain, Portugal, and Italy) or 10 kg (for France) before your trip to allow some flexibility and avoid incurring overweight fees.

Please note: The maximum luggage size is 50 x 80 x 30 cm.

Please note that boots or smaller bags attached to the main bag count as an extra bag and will be charged accordingly.

In case of exceeding that (weight or number of bags), a bag will be left in the luggage and a note informing that this service has an extra charge. A charge of €15/day will be made. If you do no contact us to make the extra payment, our provider will STOP transporting your luggage.

No lift with transporter
We can’t allow you to go with the luggage transporter as they are not insured to carry people only goods (luggage)
